Get Connected to the Women's Ministry ...

First Baptist Church of Dunnellon has a number of opportunities for women to get involved in ministry, growth, and spiritual development.

We currently have the following ministries offered for women: "Loving Hands and Hearts" quilting group, mentoring, "Secret Sisters", widow's group, mothers of pre-schoolers (MOPS), and a greeting card ministry.

The quilting group called "Loving Hands and Hearts" meets twice a month on the first and third Monday mornings. They meet from 9:00 a.m. to noon in room B-214, and then usually have lunch together. Quilts are made and given as gifts to individuals for various reasons (i.e. hospitalization, child birth). Sewing lessons are also offered.

"Secret Sisters" begins with anonymous encouragement with uplifting cards, small gifts, etc. After several months the "Secret Sisters" are introduced to each other at a luncheon. After the luncheon, many continue their relationship with meeting regularly for mentoring, friendship, and encouragement.

The widow's ministry has regularly scheduled lunches on the first Tuesday of each month. The restaurant is TBD each month, but is published in the church bulletin before hand. Also, the MOPS ministry is a regularly scheduled program for mothers of pre-schoolers. They are currently meeting on the second and fourth Thursday mornings in the Youth Building on campus. The nursery is available during MOPS for child-care. There are also other great opportunities for you to get involved as a woman in ministry here at FBC Dunnellon.
