Obeying Christ through Baptism ...

BaptismBaptism defined: Christian baptism (Matthew 3:13-17) is the immersion of a believer in water (Mark 1:9-11) in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19-20). It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus (Romans 6:3-5). It is also a testimony to his/her faith in the final resurrection of the dead (Colossians 2:12). Being a church ordinance, it is prerequisite to church membership.

When joining FBC Dunnellon if you have been Scripturally baptised in another church you are able to simply move your membership. Otherwise, it is an exciting time where your family and church family join in celebrating your decision to follow Jesus in an act of obedience to be baptised as defined above!
